Hesburgh Libraries

Reserve a Meeting or Event Space

Select spaces in the Hesburgh Library are available for meetings and events sponsored by other campus departments and organizations. While we are glad to provide this service, this is a secondary activity for us, and we are not able to offer the same services and equipment that are available from other dedicated event venues.

Reservation requests from the following groups will be considered:

  1. Notre Dame academic and administrative units
  2. Officially recognized Notre Dame student groups
  3. Outside organizations providing services on behalf of a Notre Dame initiative

After reviewing the guidelines and space options below, please use the Reserve a Meeting or Event Space form to make your request, and it will be routed to the appropriate contact person. After you submit your reservation request, you will receive a response at the email address provided in your form submission within 3 business days.

Reservation Guidelines

  1. Maintaining an environment conducive to study and research is our priority. We reserve the right to refuse events we feel will be a significant disruption to patrons.
  2. We may not be able to accommodate reservation requests made less than 3 business days in advance.
  3. We do not accept reservation requests during Reading Days or Final Exams.
  4. Spaces are available for one-time events, not for extended scheduling or regularly repeating class sessions or meetings.
  5. We request proof of public performance rights for events involving the screening of a film or video.
  6. We will consider requests to use spaces for fundraising sales by Notre Dame organizations and affiliates on a case-by-case basis.
  7. Alcohol is not permitted in Hesburgh Library spaces.

Please see below for more details on individual spaces and use policies.
Email hlevents@nd.edu if you have any questions or concerns.
