Microtext and Media
The Microtext and Media collection contains microfilm, microfiche, and microcards. Microfilms are organized by number, while microfiche are filed alphabetically by title or author last name in separate cabinets. The government document microfiche are arranged in SuDoc Number order in cabinets along the perimeter of the microfiche area. Guides and indexes to individual film and fiche collections are shelved directly across from the microfilm cabinets.

Printing and Scanning
Printouts from the film or fiche are 10 cents per page. Notre Dame community members can use their print quota or email their scans to themselves at no cost.
We also offer our services in scanning microtext for our Notre Dame patrons. For those not affiliated with Notre Dame, the cost for this service is 10 cents per frame scanned (cash or check).
Scans may be delivered electronically or in print. Requests must be made by filling out a form at the Circulation Desk. Projects are scanned in the order they are received. A member of our staff will contact you when your requested material is available.
