Loan periods vary based on material type, location, and borrower status, as summarized below. Some items in these collections may be designated as noncirculating. All materials are subject to recall, and all borrowers must comply with the recall policy.

ND Faculty and Exempt Staff

1. Books: due annually on May 31
2. Periodicals, Unbound: 2 hours
3. Periodicals, Bound: 7 days
4. Media/DVD: 7 days (limit 5 DVDs)
5. Media/CDs: 5 days
6. Microtext: in-library use only
7. Reference: in-library use only; exceptions by librarians only
8. Equipment: 4 hours, in-house use, unless stated otherwise

ND Graduate Students

1. Books: due annually on May 31
