Services available to you from Hesburgh Library

Students and faculty participating in ND's Study Abroad programs have access to a range of online resources and services through the ND Libraries web site. Access from off-campus is EASY!! If you're an off-campus user, just click on our library links as you would if you were on campus. Then enter your valid Notre Dame ID and Password and you will be granted access automatically to our electronic resources. For more information, see Connecting from Home.

Finding Articles or Journals

ND Libraries subscribes to several hundred databases which index scholarly journals, book chapters, dissertations, reports, and more. Most of these can be accessed from the Libraries' web site.

When searching for articles you will be able to link directly to any for which we have an electronic journal subscription. For others, you can use the Interlibrary Loan Article Request service. (You must use the notes field to state that you are an abroad student. We can provide articles from ND and other libraries by posting them electronically. Currently, we do not provide books from the ND or other library collections, as it is anticipated that there should be alternative library resources available to you at your study abroad location.)
