Graduate Student Lounge
The Graduate Lounge on the 9th floor of Hesburgh Library will close permanently April 30.
The library hopes to include new kitchen and break room facilities for graduate students in a future phase of renovation. The collection of professional development resources stored in the lounge will be reintegrated into the general library collection.
In the meantime, please take advantage of the Graduate Student Lounge available on the south side of the 2nd floor of Duncan Student Center. This space has a microwave, tea kettle, and free coffee, as well as seating options. It is open whenever the Duncan Student Center is open.
You may also use the microwaves that are available on the 1st floor of LaFortune Student Center, or ask your departments if they offer kitchen access to graduate students.
Please contact Monica Moore at mmoore18@nd.edu if you have questions.

Professional Development Books
The collection of professional development books in the graduate student lounge is curated by the Graduate School Professional Development team. These titles are helpful to graduate students working through their programs of study here at the University and in preparation for employment in academe or industry. The collection is available for graduate students to browse and borrow using your Irish1Card. Items in the collection are requestable by any member of the Notre Dame community. Some of the items in the collection are only available electronically. Access the catalog records for print and ebook materials in the Graduate Student Lounge location.
