Gender Studies

As an interdisciplinary program, Gender Studies engages across many areas of study—women’s studies, men’s studies, LGBTQ studies, history, film studies, religion, and others—as well as topics like race, class, ethnicity, and disability. Library resources and services are primarily geared toward those in the Program of Gender Studies but are available to all studying or doing research in any of the areas listed above.

Relevant print collections can be found in many places in the Libraries’ collections, and ebooks can be found and accessed directly through ND Catalog. The Libraries also provide access to journals, datasets, government documents, and other primary sources.

The librarian for Gender Studies, Rachel Bohlmann, provides research consultations in one-on-one, small-group, and course settings. Her expertise includes finding and evaluating sources, working with primary sources, library instruction, and broad subject knowledge.
