Hesburgh Libraries

American Studies

The Libraries provide resources and services to support interdisciplinary research in the area of American Studies. This support is geared primarily toward the Department of American Studies but extends to anyone studying or doing research on American history, culture, and life.

Relevant print collections can be found in many places in the Libraries’ collections, and ebooks can be found and accessed directly through ND Catalog. The Libraries also provide access to journals, datasets, government documents, and other primary sources.

The librarian for American Studies, Rachel Bohlmann, provides research consultations in one-on-one, small-group, and course settings. Her expertise includes finding and evaluating sources, working with primary sources, library instruction, and broad subject knowledge.
