Visual Resources Center
The Visual Resources Center (VRC) will help you discover, engage and transform the way you use visual material. The VRC strives to strengthen and support the interdisciplinary use of and access to digital images and other media for teaching, scholarship, projects/assignments and visual literacy.
Our expertise in digitization collection management, access to visual material, and emerging technologies play an important role in the library and to our users campus-wide. The greatest benefit of the VRC is its ability to facilitate all things visual and all things digital.
The VRC's digital collection currently consists of over 52,000 images built upon the specialized interest of its humanities users. Collection strengths include art, architecture, manuscripts, photography, graphic and industrial design, and the Renaissance. Styles covered include classical, Medieval, modern and contemporary.
The VRC is home to three computer workstations with access to flatbed scanners, 35mm slide scanners and Adobe software as well as technological assistance for creative projects. The lounge area is intended to encourage interaction, collaboration and study.
