This slide presentation by members of the Preservation Department exposes participants to important care and handling techniques they can incorporate into their daily work routine. Participants learn about the inherent strengths and fragility of library materials and many simple (but not always obvious) steps we can all take to help preserve our important and valuable research collections. The presentation addresses universal as well as "process-specific" care and handling guidelines. There should be something for everyone!
All library faculty and staff are welcome. Staff members who have not recently attended a care and handling workshop are particularly encouraged to attend.
