The graduate student study room is temporarily located on the 9th floor of Hesburgh Library to the right of the elevator lobby, Room 900. This space is being used during the 10th floor renovation.
Access to the lounge is controlled by an entry code and is available whenever the library building is open. The keypad access code did not change with the move to 9th floor. If you need the code it is available in the Graduate Student Union office in LaFortune Student Center or at the Hesburgh Library frontline / information services desk with your valid Notre Dame Graduate Student ID card.
The room has:
Some services previously available are on hold until new spaces can be found. These include a presentation practice board and computer workstations. These are in storage with the Graduate Student Union and are inaccessible at this time. Please seek computer workstations on first floor, Hesburgh Library as an alternative at this time. The PrintND print release station is now available on the 9th floor near the self-check out workstation.
The select collection of Hesburgh Library General Collection titles for professional development needs is curated by the Graduate School Professional Development team. Members of the team have found the titles helpful when working with graduate students who are moving through their programs of study here at the University and when preparing for employment in academe or industry. The collection is available for graduate students to browse, and is requestable by any member of the Notre Dame community. Some of the materials in the collection are available only electronically. See the information below or use the signage in the room to search the catalog and access a full list of available titles.
Access the catalog records for print and ebook materials in the Graduate Student Lounge location:
