Graduate Student Lounge - 10th Floor Hesburgh Library

The graduate student study rooms are on the 10th floor of Hesburgh Library in the west/northwest corner. Access to the lounge rooms are available whenever the library building is open. Entry to the study lounge is controlled by a keypad, and the access code is available in the Graduate Student Union office in LaFortune Student Center.The rooms have:

  • open carrels
  • computers and printers
  • flat screen monitor to practice presentations
  • dedicated collection of professional development materials that may be used in the room or borrowed

The select collction of Hesburgh Library General Collection titles for professional development needs is curated by the Graduate School Professional Development team. Members of the team have found the titles helpful when working with graduate students who are moving through their programs here at the University and preparing for employment in academe or industry. The collection is available for graduate students to browse, and is requestable by any member of the Notre Dame community. Some of the materials in the collection are available only electronically.
